Mariam Karimi

Mariam Karimi is a graduate student in the Communication, Culture and Technology masters program at Georgetown University. She is interested exploring how political communication is disseminated and then propagated through a pop cultural lens, with a focus on political rhetoric in minority and low income communities in attempts to increase political engagement. Mariam is also interested and currently researching tech policy in the Arab Gulf.
 
Mariam’s interest in Georgetown Forum stems from a desire to create thought-provoking conversation that is inclusive and accessible.
