An imaginary friend, or imaginary companion, is a product of children’s creativity. Imaginary companions can be people, but they can also take the shape of animals, toys, or even abstract ideas like monsters. So are children with imaginary companions more creative? What happens to these imaginary companions when children grow up?
In this episode, Yasheng She interviews three people about their imaginary companions. In addition, Dr. Naomi Aguiar, an imaginary companion researcher, is here to answer all of the questions you might have about imaginary friends.
